Getting started

Do I need to know how to code?

No. If you can describe what you want, you can build and ship. Coding knowledge helps you go faster, but it is not required.

What kind of apps can I build?

You can build everything from simple landing pages to full applications with complex logic, a server, and a database.

Is this for production apps or prototypes?

AppDeploy is designed for apps that need to become real and shareable quickly, including internal tools, dashboards, portals, workflow apps, lightweight SaaS products, and AI-assisted prototypes.
For complex production systems, teams can inspect the code, iterate, and decide how far to take the app.

Which AI platforms are supported?

AppDeploy works with ChatGPT, Claude Desktop, Claude Web, Claude Code, Figma Make, Cursor, Codex, Kiro, Linear, Trae, Cline, Kilo Code, Notion, Genspark, GitHub Copilot, Atlassian (Rovo), Slack, Devin, Muse Code, Grok, and any other agent that supports MCP (Model Context Protocol).

Do I need to install anything?

It depends on your agent. Use the setup guide for your platform:
- ChatGPT
- Claude (Web/Desktop)
- Codex App
- CLI coding agents
- Figma Make
- Antigravity
- Cursor (one-click install link)
- Kiro
- Linear
- Trae
- Cline
- Kilo Code
- Notion
- Genspark
- GitHub Copilot
- VS Code-compatible IDEs
- Devin
- Muse Code
- Atlassian (Rovo)
- Slack
- Grok

How do I deploy a Claude web app?

Open Claude Web, connect AppDeploy once from Settings > Connectors using Name: AppDeploy and URL: https://api-v2.appdeploy.ai/mcp, and sign in.
Then ask Claude to build the web app and deploy it with AppDeploy.
For the full walkthrough, see Claude (Web/Desktop).

Do I need Git, an IDE, or a CLI?

No. AppDeploy is designed so you can build and deploy from the AI chat itself without Git, an IDE, or local tooling.
Some agents require a one-time connector or MCP setup, but day-to-day use happens in the conversation.

Is AppDeploy only for non-technical users?

No. It is built to work for non-technical builders, but developers can use it to move faster, inspect the code, iterate in chat, and export the source at any time.

Hosting and deployment

Where is my app hosted?

AppDeploy hosts your app for you automatically on scalable cloud infrastructure and gives you a live URL. You do not need to pick a hosting provider or set up hosting yourself.

How long will it take for my app to go live?

Apps typically go live within a few seconds. You will see progress in your AI chat and get a link once your app is ready.

Do I have access to my code?

Yes. You can pull the latest source or a previous version at any time.

Can I keep iterating after the first deploy?

Yes. You can continue prompting the AI to change the app after it is live, and AppDeploy will deploy updated versions as you iterate.

What happens if QA finds an issue?

AppDeploy returns visual bug reports and test results back into the workflow so the AI agent can fix, redeploy, and re-test the app.

Can I roll back to an earlier version?

Yes. Every deploy is stored as a version, and a known-good version can be re-applied if a later change regresses.

What control do I give up?

AppDeploy does not ask you to choose every provider, runtime, database, or infrastructure setting before your first deploy.
It uses opinionated defaults so your app can go live quickly.
You still keep control over the app itself, including code access, versions, rollback, and future changes.

Trust and security

What are AppDeploy's core security controls?

AppDeploy uses layered controls including tenant isolation, short-lived credentials, sandboxed execution, encryption in transit, encrypted storage where supported, and infrastructure-level policy enforcement.
For more detail, see How AppDeploy protects app and user data.

Can I deploy sensitive or regulated data?

Restricted data must stay out of builder inputs, source files and diagnostic artifacts. The Terms permit lawful runtime processing of personal identification numbers, including transient validation and hashing, under the DPA with an active Plus subscription or during the Terms' limited 30-day transition for existing ID-processing apps; stop collection and delete stored numbers by the deadline unless Plus is restored. AppDeploy will not use visitor personal data or derived identifiers for training or independent partner use on both Free and Plus. Protect access, retain raw numbers only where necessary, prefer a keyed hash for matching, and use synthetic test data. Do not collect identification-number authentication bundles for third-party services. Other restrictions, including those for health/disability and biometric information, still apply; special-category data requires the DPA's written agreement, and HIPAA workloads require a written BAA.

How long are logs and backups retained?

Build logs are retained for up to 30 days, security and access logs for up to 90 days, and backups for up to 30 days after deletion on a rolling basis for disaster recovery.

Who is responsible for end-user authentication and permissions?

AppDeploy handles platform-level isolation and infrastructure controls. You still handle who can sign in, what each user can access, and your app's own privacy and compliance requirements.

How should secrets be handled?

Do not put secrets or API keys into prompts or project files.
If your app needs credentials or end-user runtime data, collect and store only the minimum required inside the running app for that workflow.

What stops one AppDeploy app from reading another app's data?

AppDeploy combines tenant-scoped data paths with infrastructure-level policy enforcement. In practice, storage access, shared database access, and internal service paths are designed to stay within the current app's scope.

Is data encrypted in transit and at rest?

AppDeploy uses TLS in transit for communications with the service and encryption at rest for stored data where supported by the underlying infrastructure.

Can AppDeploy staff access my app data?

Operational access is intended to be limited to authorized personnel under least-privilege controls for support, security, and reliability purposes.
AppDeploy's platform controls are designed to keep tenant data scoped, but internal operational access is not the same thing as end-user access inside your app.

Pricing

Is there a free plan?

Yes. Free includes AppDeploy's core capabilities with quotas of 100 credits per day, 400 per week and 1,000 per month, shared across all apps in your account. No credit card is required. Plus offers higher allowances and additional features. See pricing for the current plans.

What is included in Free?

Free includes chat-native deployment, a hosted URL with HTTPS, backend runtime, database and file storage, authentication, real-time updates, notifications, secrets, scheduled jobs, built-in AI, version history and rollback. Authentication supports up to 5 users. All usage is subject to the Free plan's credit limits. Free apps display the AppDeploy watermark; autonomous QA, custom domains and top-up purchases require Plus.

What is Plus?

Plus provides quotas of 1,000 credits per day, 5,000 per week and 20,000 per month across services, plus optional autonomous QA, custom domains, watermark removal and priority support. Monthly and annual subscriptions have the same quotas. Active subscribers can buy top-up packages and enable automatic top-ups. Plus replaces the previous Business offering. See pricing for current prices and plan details.

When do the daily, weekly and monthly quotas reset?

Daily usage resets at 00:00 UTC. Weekly usage resets on Monday at 00:00 UTC. Free monthly usage resets on the day of the month and time its current Free cycle started, measured in UTC. For accounts created on or after the credit-system cutover (when the current credit system takes effect), the initial cycle starts at account creation. For older accounts, it starts at the cutover time. After an ordinary Plus termination, a new Free monthly cycle starts when Plus ends. For paid subscriptions, monthly usage resets on your billing day each month, at the time of day you subscribed, measured in UTC, whether you pay monthly or annually. Your dashboard shows your next reset.
These quotas are shared across every app in your account. All three limits apply at once to included credits; top-up consumption does not count against them. A daily reset does not clear weekly or monthly usage. When any limit is reached, further usage uses eligible top-ups if available. Included capacity becomes usable again when the applicable limits permit it, and unused capacity does not carry forward. Sign in to your dashboard to see detailed usage and remaining availability.

Are credits shared across my apps, and what uses them?

Yes. Quotas, included credits and top-up balances belong to your account and are shared across all of your apps. Each app does not get its own quota, and adding another app does not increase your allowance. All AppDeploy services consume credits from that shared allowance or top-up balance, including deployment, QA, hosting, database and storage, built-in AI, background tasks and your apps' visitor activity. Consumption depends on the operation and resources used. The app owner's account covers that usage. Operations can consume credits even if they fail or produce an unsatisfactory result; a successful result is not guaranteed.
Storage is charged for the amount stored and how long it is kept. Database storage costs 5 credits per 10 MB/month; file storage costs 50 credits per GB/month. For illustration, 10 MB of database storage kept for 30 days uses 5 credits, and 1 GB of file storage kept for the same time uses 50 credits. Half the data kept for half that time uses one quarter of those amounts. These examples cover storage only; requests, deployment, QA and AI consume additional credits. Actual rates and usage may vary and can change under the Terms. Your dashboard shows your credit consumption.

Does paying monthly or annually give me all the credits upfront?

No. Neither monthly nor annual payment provides the entire commitment period's credits upfront. Included credits remain subject to daily, weekly and monthly account quotas. Daily usage resets at 00:00 UTC and weekly usage on Monday at 00:00 UTC. Free monthly usage resets on the day and time its current Free cycle started: registration for accounts created on or after the credit-system cutover, the cutover time for older accounts, or the time Plus ends after an ordinary termination. The cutover is when the current credit system takes effect. Plus monthly usage resets on the subscription's billing day and original subscription time. All reset times are UTC. Annual subscriptions also have these monthly quota resets; they do not receive a year's credits upfront.

How do top-ups and automatic top-ups work?

Sign in to your dashboard to buy one of the available credit packages. Package sizes and the prices applicable to your location are listed on the pricing page and shown before purchase. Only active paid subscribers can buy top-ups. Existing, unexpired top-ups can also be used while a renewal payment is past due, until the subscription is canceled. Subscription credits are used first when available; top-ups cover usage when a daily, weekly or monthly subscription limit has been reached or when included Plus credits are unavailable during payment recovery. When included capacity becomes available again, it takes priority over top-ups.
You can also enable automatic top-ups, authorizing purchases of the package under the conditions shown when you enable the feature. Automatic purchases pause while a subscription is past due and may resume when it becomes active again. Disable automatic top-ups in your dashboard to stop future automatic purchases. Buying top-ups does not extend your subscription.

When do credits expire?

Credits expire no later than six months after they are granted or purchased. When a paid subscription ends, all outstanding credits associated with it, including unused top-ups, are revoked even if they are less than six months old. Scheduling cancellation does not revoke credits before the subscription ends. A failed renewal does not revoke existing top-ups during payment recovery; their original expiry dates still apply, and they are revoked if the subscription is ultimately canceled. Renewing an active subscription does not reset a credit's age, and resubscribing later does not restore expired or revoked credits. Mandatory refund and credit-validity rights still apply. Included allowance is a usage limit, not a saved balance that carries forward.

What happens when usable credits reach zero?

When no included capacity or eligible top-up credits remain, your hosted apps stop running and further credit-consuming operations pause. Retained apps automatically resume when usable credits return after a quota reset makes included capacity available or through an eligible top-up, unless suspended for another reason. Having an active subscription does not guarantee uninterrupted hosting.

How do I purchase, manage or cancel Plus?

Open dashboard.appdeploy.ai, sign in to your AppDeploy account and use the dashboard's subscription and billing controls to purchase Plus, manage payment details or cancel. The dashboard also shows detailed credit usage and remaining credits. Polar is the merchant of record for paid purchases. If you cannot access cancellation, contact support@appdeploy.ai.

What happens when I cancel?

Cancellation stops the next renewal and takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, unless applicable law requires otherwise. For example, if a monthly subscription starts on September 17 and you cancel a week later, Plus remains available until October 17. If an annual subscription starts on September 17, 2026 and you cancel during that year, Plus remains available until September 17, 2027. The subscription ends at the applicable billing time. Monthly quota resets do not shorten the annual paid period. Until the paid period ends, Plus remains active, subject to available credits. Automatic top-ups stay enabled during that remaining period unless you disable them separately. At the end, your account returns to Free, paid features end, and all outstanding paid credits, including unused top-ups, are revoked. Your retained apps can continue within Free features and credit limits, with the watermark restored and custom domains no longer included. Stopping use or deleting an individual app does not cancel the subscription.

Are subscriptions and top-ups refundable?

Purchases are generally non-refundable for voluntary early cancellation, non-use or unused credits, except where required by applicable law. If AppDeploy ends your paid service early for a reason not attributable to your breach, fraud or abuse, we refund the unused prepaid subscription period and the amount paid for unused, unexpired purchased top-ups. Included or promotional credits have no separate cash refund value. Your statutory cancellation, withdrawal and refund rights remain unaffected. See the Terms.

What happens if a renewal payment fails?

Your subscription becomes past due. Plus benefits and included Plus credits are unavailable, and you cannot buy new top-ups manually or automatically. You can still use existing, unexpired top-up credits during recovery, until the subscription is canceled.
Polar's default schedule has up to four retries, approximately 2, 7, 14 and 21 days after the first failure. Updating your payment method can trigger an immediate retry; a permanent decline can end recovery earlier. Plus resumes once outstanding renewal payments are settled and Polar restores the subscription to active. If recovery fails and the subscription is canceled, remaining paid credits are revoked and your account remains on Free. Update payment details through your dashboard.

Can inactive Free apps be deleted?

Yes. AppDeploy reserves the right to delete a Free app and its associated hosted data after 30 consecutive days with no visitors and no deployments. Advance notice is not guaranteed, except where required by law. Keep copies of content and data you need. Adding credits or upgrading later does not restore a deleted app.

Can I use a custom domain or remove the watermark?

Yes. Plus includes custom domains and removes the AppDeploy watermark. Sign in to your dashboard to upgrade. See pricing for current plan details.

Are taxes included, and do prices vary by location?

Israeli plan and top-up prices include VAT. Outside Israel, Polar determines the applicable tax treatment at checkout; tax may be included in or added to displayed prices depending on your location and tax status. The final total, currency and tax details are shown before you pay. Polar handles checkout and billing as merchant of record.

Can prices, features or credit rates change?

Yes. AppDeploy may change plan prices, features, allowances and how many credits an operation uses. Current details appear on the pricing page, in the dashboard or at checkout. Subscription price increases apply to new purchases or renewals, rather than retroactively to a paid period. Other changes apply prospectively, with any notice, consent, cancellation or refund rights required by law. See the Terms.

Does Plus change how AppDeploy uses my data?

No. Free and Plus have the same data-use terms. Paying for a subscription or credits does not provide additional privacy benefits or a training opt-out. The safeguards and exceptions in our Terms, Privacy Policy and DPA, and your mandatory legal rights, still apply. Different data-use terms apply only if expressly offered for a particular plan or agreed in writing.

Do I need a separate paid AI-tool plan?

AppDeploy Free does not require a credit card. Your AI coding tool is a separate service with its own plans, limits and fees; an AppDeploy subscription does not include a subscription to that tool.

Ownership and rights

Is there any waiver of rights using AppDeploy?

You retain ownership of the project files and materials you submit ("User Content"), but you grant AppDeploy data-use rights as described below.
You grant AppDeploy the data license described in the Terms, including rights to operate, improve, train, evaluate and commercialize systems using User Content, Deployment Data, Feedback Data and Derived Data, and to share those materials as described there and in the Privacy Policy. The same data-use terms apply to Free and Plus, subject to the stated safeguards and applicable law.
You can request deletion of your deployments and associated data at any time. After we process deletion, we stop serving the deployment and remove the content from our primary systems.
Backups may be retained for up to 30 days for disaster recovery.

If I build an app through AppDeploy, what is mine in terms of profits and rights?

Your app and your User Content remain yours. You keep the rights and economic upside from what you build.
AppDeploy receives the data-use rights described in the Terms, and owns its Service and derived assets as described there. Paying for Plus does not change those rights.
Your app may include third-party dependencies and services, and those licenses and terms still apply.

If I upload my app through AppDeploy, does that mean you have partial ownership of it?

No. Uploading or deploying through AppDeploy does not transfer ownership.
You retain ownership of your User Content. AppDeploy receives the data license and owns the derived assets described in the Terms; that license extends beyond hosting and deployment and applies to both Free and Plus.
